DEVELOPMENTAL TRAINING

MALCOLM EATON Enterprises' Developmental Training Program instructs individuals with severe and/or multiple disabilities on practical life and job skills both at the MALCOLM EATON Center and community settings. Specific skills taught include:

Life Skills Training:

  • writing skills
  • money management
  • grooming & hygiene
  • meal planning & food preparation

Community Skills:

  • safety
  • use of library and other community facilities

Recreation:

  • swimming
  • volleyball
  • fishing

One-half of each day, work training is provided to improve each individual's job skills in projects such as light assembly and packaging. Our long-term goal is to increase independence, advance skill level, and refer to our Community Employment Program.
