MALCOLM EATON Enterprises uses Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) homes to give people with disabilities a place to call their own. Individuals learn how to reside within the community, whether living alone or with others. The houses in Freeport and Lena, as well as apartments in Freeport, offer ways for people to achieve appropriate levels of independence. This is accomplished through varying stages of supervision with a focus on enhancing the individual’s development and tailoring support to the person’s capabilities.
Personal and comprehensive instruction occurs at our residential facilities to nurture:
- Economic self-sufficiency through money management, budgeting and bill paying.
- Everyday living skills such as grooming, meal planning and housekeeping.
- Community involvement via recreational outings and using area resources and facilities.
